Pulmonary Rehabilitation

Pulmonary rehab can slow the progression of long-term pulmonary diseases (such as COPD), as well as reduce shortness of breath, improve endurance and increase independence and quality of life.

Patients generally participate in Ferrell’s Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program for 3-4 months; however, the schedule can vary depending on individual needs. Experience shows that participation in the program can lead to a decrease in respiratory symptoms and complications, and helps patients understand and manage the physical and emotional aspects of their disease.

How do I enroll in the program?
  • If you have a chronic pulmonary disease, you can be referred to our program by your primary care provider. An evaluation will be scheduled once we receive the required information from your physician.
Will my insurance cover pulmonary rehab?
  • If you are referred to the program, your insurance plan will more than likely cover 36 sessions of Level II services. Our business office will verify coverage.
